BEFORE YOU HIT THE ROAD
Pre-Departure RV Preparation
Whether you’re heading out for a weekend, returning to seasonal travel, or preparing for a longer trip, a pre-departure inspection gives you a chance to address problems while you’re still at home or at your campsite.
We review the condition and operation of your RV’s appliances, electrical and plumbing systems, roof and seals, slide-outs, and safety equipment. The checklist also includes tires, exterior lights, doors, and storage compartments, with applicable checks based on your RV’s equipment.
Tell us about your travel plans, any systems that haven’t been used recently, and problems you’ve noticed. We’ll discuss recommended service and repairs before additional work begins.
PREPARE FOR COLD WEATHER & TIME IN STORAGE
RV Winterizing & Storage Preparation
Winterizing helps protect your RV’s water system when freezing temperatures are expected. Even in Florida, seasonal cold weather and travel to colder areas make preparation worth considering.
We can prepare your RV’s plumbing for cold-weather storage using procedures appropriate to its equipment, including the water heater, water lines, faucets, toilet, and other water-connected components. The required work depends on your RV’s layout and manufacturer instructions.
If your RV will sit unused, we can also discuss battery care, roof and seal condition, and other storage-related maintenance. Before your next trip, ask about returning the water system to service and checking for leaks and proper operation.
KEEP YOUR RV READY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
Annual Scheduled Maintenance
A yearly maintenance visit helps you stay ahead of wear, leaks, and appliance problems. We review your RV’s condition, maintenance history, and how you use it, then recommend a service plan for the equipment installed.
Your scheduled maintenance plan can include:
- Roof & exterior seals: Inspect roof seams, vents, skylights, windows, and other sealed openings for deterioration or signs of water intrusion.
- Air conditioners: Clean serviceable filters and coils, check drains, and inspect rooftop units for proper operation.
- Water heaters: Flush tank-type heaters, inspect applicable anode rods, and perform maintenance appropriate to tankless or other installed systems.
- Refrigerators: Check cooling performance, door seals, exterior vents, and accessible components.
- Furnaces, stoves & ovens: Inspect accessible components and vents, clean as appropriate, and check ignition and operation.
- Batteries & charging: Inspect battery condition, terminals, hold-downs, and charging-system operation; service according to battery type.
- Electrical systems: Check shore-power connections, accessible outlets, GFCI operation, converters, and inverters, as equipped.
- Plumbing & water systems: Check for leaks, inspect pump and faucet operation, and discuss fresh-water sanitizing and filter replacement when due.
- Slide-outs & leveling systems: Inspect seals and accessible mechanisms, check operation, and lubricate only where specified by the manufacturer.
- Awnings & slide toppers: Inspect fabric, mounting hardware, and operation; clean and maintain according to the equipment instructions.
- Safety equipment: Test smoke, carbon monoxide, and LP alarms; check replacement dates and inspect the fire extinguisher.
- Doors, windows & roof vents: Check latches, hinges, weather seals, screens, and powered vent operation.
Maintenance intervals vary by RV, appliance, usage, and storage conditions. Some items need attention more often than once a year. We follow the applicable manufacturer recommendations and confirm the work, parts, and pricing with you before service begins.
